You already know that students come to UNIF from all over Haiti. So where do they live? Right now, students stay with family, rent rooms in the community, or—for about 50 womenlodge in a comfortable temporary dorm that was set up in an unused coffee warehouse on campus.

But here's the thing: as UNIF's reputation grows and more people are driven back to rural areas, we're on track to have over 500 students within the next few years. We need more space.

That's why we're excited to share that construction has officially begun on a new dormitory for female studentsa building that will house 150 young women. This is a big deal for the university and a major step forward in expanding access to higher education for young women in rural Haiti.

And this is just the beginning. In a few years, together we'll add a men's dormitory with space for another 150 students, allowing UNIF to keep growing and serving the next generation of rural leaders.

Launching this project became possible thanks to a donor who believes deeply in education and rural development. Their generous gift provided both the land and the funding for this first phase, enabling UNIF to welcome more students and meet the growing demand for quality education in a safe, rural setting.
